By the Bouquet, by the Bucket or by Special Order

Locally Grown and Custom Arranged

Mountain Meadow Farm is located in beautiful Litchfield County, Connecticut. For more than 20 years, we have been organically growing cut flowers and herbs.  We select and grow annual and perennial flowers that are both beautiful and long lasting.

Currently we are offering our fresh-cut flower bouquets for pick up or delivery every Friday throughout the growing season, generally from June to October.   Please contact us to sign up for our Full Season of Bloom, which reserves your bouquet every week for 10 weeks from mid-June to fall.

If you're planning a special event, from a cocktail party to a wedding, or if you're a business owner or non-profit in need of fresh flowers or bouquets, please contact us to discuss.

About Us:

Mountain Meadow Flowers is an offshoot of Mountain Meadow Farm, which is owned and operated by Mary Altermatt and a crew of family and friends.  Mary's background includes college degrees in Engineering and Plant and Soil Science followed by an internship at the Arnold Arboretum in Massachusetts.  She received a master's degree in Public Horticulture Administration from Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. For seven years, she worked as a horticulturist at a private estate in northwest Connecticut.  She opened Mountain Meadow Farm in 1997, offering garden design, maintenance service, and custom-grown plants.

The love of growing and the diversity of cut flowers inspired Mary to create Mountain Meadow Flowers in 2015.  Two greenhouses support the trial of new cut flower varieties that are organically grown from seed, allowing for more unusual varieties that are not commercially available.  Constant experimentation with native perennials, as well as trees and shrubs, has allowed Mountain Meadow Flowers to become a source for unique and custom flower arrangements.
